Perry, the Archery Pro here at Jack’s, proudly displays his 21lb. bird shot this morning before he headed in to work. The Owner Dan Doherty’s labs Jack and Woody are as impressed as anyone at the 9 1/2 Inch beard and 1 inch spurs.
Each year, the kids of Kalkaska County come out to the trout pond in hopes of catching the elusive five pound Rainbow named “Fat Jack.” Along with the trophy rainbow, 50 2lb. tagged fish sponsored by our local business’ and citizens and hundreds of 1lb. trout are planted in the pond to help grow the next generation of outdoorsman. For each tagged rainbow in the pond, Jack’s provides trophies and prizes for the kids that bring their catch in. Here are this year’s trout anglers showing off their fish, prizes, and smiles.
